Be Inspired, Girl!

Here you will find bits and pieces that have supported me on my health journey. I strongly believe that mental health is wealth; even if this means wearing a friendly facial moisturizer or listening to a great song, find what inspires you and go get it!
Wiggy With It!

Let's talk wigs, ladies. I often am asked where I purchase my wigs from, how they work, what products they require, etc. When I was first diagnosed, one of the first questions I had was where was I going to find a wig? I was at a complete loss. I knew nothing about wigs or how to wear them. Well, I am here to tell you my secrets!

My wigs are all raw, Indian hair. I prefer a 150% density with a complete lace cap (these are less itchy and hot). I hardly ever wore a wig cap with it because I found it more comfortable without one. This exact wig pictured is a 22" length. I recommend starting with a longer wig than you think you'll want because eventually you do have to trim them. Same goes with density. You will see some shedding start to occur. It is important to remember that the hair on a wig is already on its last leg, it is important to hydrate them and apply minimal heat.

Since these wigs will come in raw, you will need a stylist to cut and color your wig. It is important you find someone with experience in this. This way, your wig will less likely be damaged. Note, you cannot color a black, Indian hair wig, blonde. It will completely damage the hair and ruin any chance at having a nice wig. You must order a blonde wig which Valley Girl can supply.

Since the cap is lace, you will need to use Got 2 Be Glued styling gel to hold down the lace at the hairline. This will give it a smooth finish and look most natural. There are many Youtube videos on how to do this. That is how I learned! Please do not hesitate to message me with any other questions you may have. I hope this helps.
